Capture Email Leads Using CPV

Cost per view (CPV) advertising doesn't seem to get the same hype as PPC, but I've been using doing CPV for quite awhile now with some great results. My favorite CPV network at the moment is TrafficVance. You can only get in by referral only, and you have to be able to afford the $1000 deposit, but it really is worth it if you have the means.

When most people start with CPV, they try to direct link to various CPA offers. This can work ok, but it takes a lot of money and time to test what works and what doesn't. I've actually found that the best way to make bank off of CPV is to create squeeze pages and capture emails. For those who aren't familiar with squeeze pages, these are simple landing pages specifically constructed to get the visitors email addresses. You'll see them used a lot by the big name internet marketers on their product launches.

So here's how it works. I first pick the CPA offer I want to target. Then I use the Smart URL scraper from AffPortal to generate myself a list of urls. To create squeeze pages, I've been using my beta copy of Squeeze Theme to quickly pump them out. Squeeze Theme is created by the same guys who made Affiliate Theme so you know the quality is there. I actually build several different squeeze pages, and I split test them while running my campaign to see which page gets the most opt-ins.

Once you've collected emails, you can start with your emailing campaign. I like to build up a rapport with my subscribers initially before I start hitting them up with CPA offers. What's great is that these subscribers are all highly targeted which allows me to promote several related offers to them. I've gotten insane conversion rates with this method, and anybody can do it. Try it out and let me know how it goes.

My Favorite Features of Affiliate Theme

Affiliate Theme, the newly created premium wordpress theme from Unique Blog designs gives you the ability to create great looking affiliate landing pages. Not only that, but they can be created without touching a line of code, HTML or PHP. All customization of your theme is done within your Wordpress Control Panel which makes creating landing pages a snap. Here are my top 4 favorite features of Affiliate Theme.

  • Custom layouts - Affiliate Theme currently supports 6 different layouts, with more to come in future releases. This includes layouts with 1, 2, 3, or even 4 columns. This makes the theme flexible enough to handle any type of landing page you would want to create.

  • Custom colors - Affiliate Theme includes a neat little color picker widget in the control panel that lets you easily change the color of your background. No need to open up various background images in Photoshop and trying to change the colors that way.

  • Wide variety of banner graphics - With the Multi Use license, you get access to 10 pre-made header graphics designed by the guys at UBD. These header graphics are quite nice, and can be used for a wide variety of niches.

  • Set up a page in under 15 minutes - Once you become familiar with the interface, cranking out landing pages should take 15 minutes or less. Yes, it's really that easy!

For affiliate marketers interested in pay per click marketing, but don't have the technical chops to create their own landing pages, Affiliate Theme may be for you. The cost is $147 for their multi-use license, which allows you to use the theme on unlimited domains/sites. While this may seem expensive, experienced pay per click marketers know that paying a good designer to create good landing pages for you can cost quite a bit more than that. Make sure to check out their video to see if Affiliate Theme is right for you.
